Family connection should get easier with technology — not more fragmented.

Keeping Family Ties is being developed by Robert Vaughan in Auburn, California, with a simple goal: give families one private place to communicate, preserve memories, organize important information and understand how everyone is connected.

The idea

Modern families use text messages for one thing, photo apps for another, cloud drives for documents, calendars for gatherings, and scattered notes for family history. KFT is designed to bring those pieces together around the family itself.

Built for overlapping families

Real people belong to more than one family. Marriage, children, grandparents and extended relatives create overlapping family groups. KFT is being designed so one person can participate in multiple family spaces without becoming multiple separate people.

A private family product

KFT is not intended to be a public social network. Access is based on family membership and permissions. Features are being developed with private family communication and controlled sharing in mind.
